Our Brief

Each year, the IT budgeting process took up significant management effort from both IT and Finance. Our role was to review, simplify and manage this process to reduce the input required.

Our Approach

We joined the IT management team for the duration of the budgeting process. We created, agreed and then implemented a new, integrated, time-based process to manage the budgeting cycle across IT, Finance and the business. We created automated reporting packs to aid decision making across each budget iteration. At the end of the assignment, we reviewed and amended the processes based on feedback and implemented appropriate changes.

End Result

The budgeting cycle was significantly quicker and easier to go through compared with previous years. A formal, documented process was put in place meaning staff could follow it consistently each year.
